Anti-violence support Centre - Ceav (English)

The Anti-violence Support Centre is a joint project among Vicenza council, the Vicenza health and social-care department (Azienda Ulss 8 – Distretto Est), the law-enforcement authorities, the provincial schools office (Ufficio Scolastico Provinciale), Vicenza province, AIAF (the Italian Family Lawers Association) and numerous locally active women’s groups. The centre provides the city with a service from a specific base that is visible and recognisable as a space for reflecting on and combating violence and for taking action and delivering services to women who have suffered violence.

The Anti-violence Support Centre is one of the 21 Anti-violence centres operating in Veneto in accordance with the Regional Law No 5/2013, which is supposed to host only women who have suffered violence in order to offer a dedicated public service free of charge as a first point of contact for any victim of violence needing help, advice or immediate protection.

The Centre's services are run by the association “Donna Chiama Donnawhich employs specialized personnel, service, employee or volunteer personnel, with the full support and endorsement of the Public authority which ensures that the service remains available.
The centre is based in Vicenza, where it offers advices to all the people who have suffered violence in different places.
